Base Major Construction has a supporting company named China No. 17 Metallurgical Construction CO (MCC17) which has been listed 38th among the 500 largest construction companies in China.

MCC17 has established its own Quality, Environmental and Occupational Health & Safety Management System authenticated by CQM.

There are 11800 employees, of which 3489 are certified constructional professionals including 1400 engineers and senior engineers and 156 project managers with Grade A qualifications licensed by the Ministry of Construction. The expertise of these professionals is available to Base Major Construction should the need arise.

With a history of more than 55 years, MCC17 has vast construction experience; working as prime contractor on large scale complex projects which cover, Metallurgical construction, Municipal utilities, Expressway works, General building and Power station, Pipelines and dams, bridge construction, steel and concrete manufacture and Mechanical and electrical equipment installation.

MCC17 has completed construction projects in Kuwait, Austria, Thailand, Bengal, Mozambique, Zimbabwe, Guyana and Equatorial Guinea.

Should the opportunity arise for Base Major Construction to do a turnkey project of over R5 billion, financial support will be afforded to us from China No. 17 Metallurgical Construction Cooperation.
